A handheld AI visual inspection device that is ready as soon as it powers on. Point it at a product and capture an image to get a clear pass/defect result in 0.4 seconds. The complete device weighs less than 1kg, costs under 1000 yuan, works offline, and can inspect wherever it is needed.
Point and inspect. Defect recognition and classification finish in 0.4 seconds, with no wait, no network connection, and immediate on-site decisions.
Full-stack in-house development reduces cost to one-tenth of conventional equipment with comparable inspection capability, making multi-line deployment practical.
Easy to hold in one hand, with 2+ hours of built-in battery life for mobile inspection and comfortable operation in confined spaces.
Conventional industrial inspection equipment is large, expensive, and tied to fixed workstations, leaving confined spaces and mobile inspection scenarios uncovered. The K230 Portable AI Visual Inspection Device is developed in-house from PCB design and the 3D-printed enclosure through AI model training and embedded deployment, putting inspection capability in your hand without location constraints.
Integrates the K230 AI development board, camera module, 2.4-inch LCD, 2000mAh lithium battery, and PWM dimming light board in a 3D-printed handheld enclosure. It operates independently with no external equipment, weighs less than 1kg, fits in one hand, and is ready to inspect at startup.
Power management, lighting control, and IO expansion are all designed in-house, while the 3D-printed enclosure eliminates tooling costs. The K230 chip includes a KPU neural network accelerator for edge inference without an external GPU or server. With comparable inspection capability, the device costs only one-tenth as much as conventional industrial vision equipment, making multi-line deployment affordable.
The companion YOLO cloud training service handles model training and calibration without a local GPU. Upload product images → label online → train in one step → automatically quantize and deploy to the K230 device, all without code. New inspection targets require no hardware change and can be switched in within minutes.
To address recurring missing taping on weld splices in the VK area and customer complaints caused by ineffective manual inspection, the K230 was extended with cloud calibration and training. Video-stream AI inspection achieves 100% defect containment. The solution has operated successfully for more than 8 months without failure.
Quality inspectors carry the device along the production line and evaluate sampled products immediately without returning to a fixed inspection station.
Quickly samples the appearance of incoming materials at receiving, containing defects before nonconforming parts reach production.
The compact, lightweight device reaches inside equipment, between Wire Harnesses, and into other locations inaccessible to conventional inspection equipment.
